1. Parties & Definitions.
“Double D’s Automotive” (“Double D’s”) is the repair facility listed on this estimate, work order, or invoice. “Customer” is the vehicle owner/authorized agent. “Parts” includes all new or used components provided. “Services” means all repair and maintenance work performed.
2. WARRANTY POLICY – 7-Year / 77,000-Mile Parts & Labor Warranty
Months 36–60 (3–5 Years)
Months 60–72 (5–6 Years)
Months 72–84 (6–7 Years)
General Warranty Conditions:
Warranty applies only to qualifying repairs performed at Double D’s Automotive using parts purchased through Double D’s. Warranty is non-transferable. Customer-supplied parts are not covered. Wear items (brakes, tires, belts, filters, bulbs, fluids, etc.) are excluded unless stated otherwise. Failures caused by overheating, misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, accidents, modifications, tuning, racing, or off-road use are excluded. Vehicle must be returned to Double D’s for warranty service unless covered under the nationwide portion.
3. Parts – Manufacturer Warranties.
Parts include manufacturer warranties only unless covered by Double D’s 7/77 warranty.
4. OEM/Aftermarket Parts.
Non-OEM parts may be used. All parts will meet or exceed OEM specifications in fit, quality, and performance.
5. Sublet Repairs.
Customer authorizes Double D’s to use subcontractors when necessary.
6. Damage / Theft.
Double D’s is not responsible for loss or damage to the vehicle or personal property due to fire, weather, theft, or any other cause except Double D’s sole negligence. Not responsible for personal belongings, aftermarket equipment, tools, money, or cargo left in the vehicle.
7. Payment & Storage Fees.
All charges are due upon completion. Vehicles left more than 3 days after completion notice may incur storage up to $50/day or the max allowed by law.
8. Mechanic’s Lien & Collections.
Customer grants Double D’s a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle for all charges. If payment is not received within 10 days of completion notice, Double D’s may begin lien sale proceedings and/or send the account to collections.
9. Governing Law, Venue & Time to File.
This Agreement is governed by Oregon law. Venue for any claims is Linn County, Oregon. Customer has 1 year from the date a claim arises to file any action.
10. Limitation of Damages.
Customer may not recover incidental, consequential, indirect, special, lost-income, loss-of-use, downtime, or punitive damages.
11. Attorney Fees.
If either party is legally entitled to attorney fees, the prevailing party may recover reasonable attorney fees and costs.
12. Communication & Data Use.
Customer authorizes Double D’s to use contact information for service updates, marketing, scheduling, and account purposes. Customer authorizes Double D’s and manufacturers/service platforms to use anonymized/aggregated repair data.
By approving this estimate, you agree to the following:
Warranty: Most repairs with shop-supplied parts include a 7yr/77k mile limited warranty. Customer-supplied parts carry no warranty on parts or labor. All warranty diagnostics must be performed at Double D’s.
Estimates & Authorization: Final charges may differ if additional issues are found. Customer authorizes verbal/text/email approvals. Declined repairs may cause further damage.
Labor Rates: Based on industry labor guides or shop judgment, not actual time.
Parts: OEM or quality aftermarket parts may be used. Customer-supplied parts may delay repairs.
Sublet Work: Customer authorizes use of subcontractors (e.g., machine work, programming, alignment).
Vehicle Operation: Customer authorizes staff to road test and operate the vehicle as needed for repair.
Property: Double D’s is not responsible for loss/damage due to theft, weather, or personal property left in the vehicle.
Payment: Due at vehicle pickup. Vehicles left 72+ hours after completion may incur storage fees up to $50/day.
Mechanic’s Lien: Unpaid invoices may result in lien sale or collections. Customer is responsible for related fees.
Liability Limits: No incidental, consequential, or punitive damages. Liability is limited to the cost of the repair performed.
Data & Communication: Customer authorizes contact via phone/text/email for updates, approvals, and account matters. Repair data may be shared with manufacturers/warranty platforms.
Photos/Video: Vehicle may be documented for repair, safety, training, and liability protection.
Approval of this estimate confirms acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
